I saw Snakes on a Plane, and cheered when Jackson said the line, but I still think a bomb would have been a whole lot simpler–and why is that Sci-Fi pushes these films at women over 50, but filmmakers insert female nudity?

I thought V for Vendetta was a wonderful film, and I particularly liked the gift V gave Evey. A truly beautiful film.

Over the Hedge is cute. A must watch for all squirrel lovers, and all people who dislike housing association presidents.

After Scoop I will never take another outside chance on a Woody Allen film ever again.

"After Scoop I will never take another outside chance on a Woody Allen film ever again. "

:D Even some of us die-hard fans are feeling that way as well…

Not even Match Point? That was his first that I'd seen in years.

Yes, Match Point was pretty good, you're right; there's a good one every three or four films, and that keeps me turning up at every Woody movie. ;)

I haven't seen Match Point. I'll have to add it to my Blockbuster queue.

My fav line from Over the Hedge was when one of the creatures asked how many people does an SUV carry. Answer: "Usually…one."

I quit watching Woody Allen a long time ago - I found his shtick to be terminally boring when it wasn't excessively annoying.

Yeah, and it was the Association President that drove it, too, Sterling.

Well, Doug, you would not like Scoop, that's for positively sure. I bet you would like Hedge or Vendetta though. Or Snakes, "We got m****f***** snakes on this m*****f***** plane". Some movies are worth it just for 'the line'.

Yeah, she was a well-drawn character. Everybody has known someone like that. My daughter's favorite scene is when the truck is flying through the air slo-mo into the house, and the Association President looks up confused as the squirrel is waving to her from the front seat.

I both loved and hated Match Point at the same time. You should see it, Shelley, then we can discuss why I'm so ambivalent about it. I don't want to spoil it for you, because the element of surprise is of somewhat importance.
