Barytocelestite

Lovely crystal aggregate with sulfer based matrix. I could not find a listing of Barytocelstite in any of my mineral books so am estimating that it is Barium replacing Strontium, in Celestite -- occuring with Sulfer.

There is some fresh breakage due to recent move.

Golden Apatite

Size: 2.5 x 1.8 x 1.8 cm

With some of these minerals, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't capture the true beauty of the piece. This Apatite crystal is one of them.

It's a thumbnail crystal without a matrix and with wonderful color and an irridescent quality to it when held into the light. It's a lovely light golden color, which is not that common with this mineral.

From Compolinds Mine, M.G. Brazil.

Purchased from Earthlight, January, 1991 for $75.00.
