This was one thumbnail, but the matrix was very fragile and it split into the two crystals with a tiny bit of the matrix with each.
First crystal: 1.2 x 0.9 x 0.6 cm
Second crystal: 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.9 cm with tiny what looks like beryl crystal at base
Both crystals in excellent shape, with typical color and form for Adamite.
From Ojuela Mine, Durango, Mexico.
Purchased from Earthlight December, 1990. $40.00
Size: 3.0 x 2.5 x 1.0 cm
There are three specimans that I am uncertain of their identity and this is one of them. It's a very pretty thumbnail speciman, with lovely pale sea green color, on a gray matrix, but I'm not sure what it is. I know, bad me.
However, from the color and the shape of the crystals, and the fact that I have a receipt for a fluorite that I don't show in the my rock ledger, I think this is fluorite. I don't have ultraviolet to test if it fluoresces, though.
Regardless, it's a pretty piece.
If it is that stone, I purchased it from Crystal Connection Feb 1991 for 29.00.
