AKMA meets Ferret Face

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

I wanted to point you to a Pixelview interview with AKMA that went online this week. I thought AKMA did a nice job with the interview questions.

I hesitated to link to the interview considering that it was conducted by my old friend, Head Lemur, a man who has been less than complimentary about me on two separate occasions. However, though the Head Lemur is a weak brained, bottom dwelling, ferret faced, dull witted amoeba, I decided to let bygones be bygones.

Now, AKMA, about those weblog postings on forgiveness…

Head Lemur responded.

His previous responses to my writings here and here.

I stand by my initial description, twenty years later.

New Blogrolling categories

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

Rather than go with a single list of people in a blogroll, I grouped my virtual neighbors according to specific categories. I think this makes the whole process MUCH MORE INTERESTING.

<update>

I pulled the categories.

Technology updates

Blogicon’s new home will be blogicon.blogrolling.com, and the new caretaker is Jason DeFillippo.

Note that the move is still in process – check later today or tomorrow to see if it’s complete. When the move is finished, I’ll redirect Blogicon requests to the new home, but you’ll want to change your links.

Also, I have updated my LINK tag to meet the newest change. Note to aggregation folks – can you change your beasties to poll less frequently? I post throughout the day, but not every five minutes.

Constant hits by XML aggregators, tired am I to quote Yoda.

Erotica

Chris Locke posted a powerful piece of erotica to his weblog on Sunday. As a fair warning: if explicit sexuality offends you, don’t click the link.

It’s interesting, but weblog links to the Daniel Pearl decapitation video dotted Daypop 40 when it first appeared, RSS absolutely dominated Daypop and Blogdex this weekend, but post a note containing sex and the silence is deafening.

Prudes.

(UpdateChris’ permalinks are all screwed up. Pun not intended.)

Blogicon needs a new home

The Blogicon needs a new home.

The work to maintain it is minimal – add a new entry every once in a while (I have 3 pending now), using standard HTML. A better approach would be to have an application that allows people to add their own entries, so I’m hoping whoever will take it on has web development skills. I’d write the application myself, but with my move, I don’t have time.

The Blogicon gets a nice, steady flow of visitors – good way for you to meet new webloggers. I can set up a link with my content system to forward visitors on to your web site if they go to the current location.

My preference would be to have one of the University of Blogaria take on the page, but didn’t want to put anyone on the spot.

Send me an email if you’re interested and we’ll work out the details.

Update

Jason DeFillippo of Blogrolling fame has kindly offered to take on the care and feeding of Blogicon. Thanks Jason!
