Different cloud perspective

Where’s the poetry? Where’s the poems?

Sorry, but tonight you’ll have to settle for photos only or photos with words from yours truly. I’m too tired to look for poems.

And color tonight. I’m in a color photo mood tonight.

A star is born

I talked with this little girl and her mother, showed them where the baby ducks were. However, when I tried to take a photo of them both, looking at the ducks, the little girl was more interested in the camera than the ducks.

However, I think it worked out okay, for my first ‘real’ kid shot. You can barely make the mother duck out, though, on the rock in the far left. All six of her little babies were tucked underneath her, little duck tails pointing out.

No stop energy

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

Dorothea has better luck than I attracting people’s interest in a project. Someone is going to help her building indexing software.

She also wrote:

I admit I’m now open to the charge of “stop energy” on the RDFPF project (and I suspect Bb’s said as much privately, which is okay). But to me, the RDFPF is a pretty good example of a windmill to tilt at—I still don’t think Bb is going to kill a giant, but she might come up with some really cool new twists in lances.

Actually, I haven’t said anything of this nature to anyone. Whatever I would say in private about Dorothea, I would be just as comfortable saying in public to Dorothea. Besides, I despise the term ‘stop energy’ because it’s basically a put down, used against people who don’t agree with you, by people who don’t have the wit to find a better argument. It’s right up there with the phrase, those who promote hatred used to justify censorship.

Dorothea has a right to her opinion, and I have a right to ignore it, or not. There is no ‘stop energy’. What killed the Poetry Finder was the lack of ‘start energy’, and that was my own doing.

Enough said.
