Cloudy weather

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

Another storm rolled in tonight. And a headache rolled in with the lightning and thunder.

This storm is as impressive as the one Sunday, but so far doesn’t have the moisture. The continuous lightening and thunder can get tiring after a bit. Either that or I’m not in a mood to enjoy the storm tonight.

I think I caught Liz’s Hoppy Toad mood.

Update:Well, my hoppy toad mood may be explained by finding that I did not escape unscathed from the ticks this weekend. I found a large red rash on my ankle tonight, and a new friend having a good nosh in the middle of it.

Sigh, I really, really like Missouri. But it’s a bit of a trial at times.

Back to RDF Poetry Finder (Allegory Finder?) but it will be a day or two for next posting. However, interesting ideas being presented in the comments, and times like this I’m happy for comments. And others are continuing the linguistic discussion, which is also enjoyable.

There are a lot of smart people here abouts.

More storms, other stuff

Well, enough of the dabbling among the mix of art and technology. More storms coming in, another alert, but it doesn’t look like much. Thanks to the Internet, we can all be meteorologists pretending we know how to read the weather maps.

I’ll see if I can get any more weather photos, but you know, you can only take so many pics of clouds, and they all start looking alike. Like Volkswagons.

I have another trip across the country to plan. This time I’m taking the van and camping along the way rather than staying in motels. Always room for an adventure.

What’s it all about, Alfie?

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

A discussion about the Semantic Web is taking place at Bloggers Unlimited. My hope is that this conversation brings together the techies and the non-techies, and it seems like it is. At least a little bit.

More voices would be welcome — all views are welcome. This is a friendly thread. Honest.

As for my part, I’m talking at the discussion thread, and I’m continuing the RDF Poetry Finder essays. We’ll see how it goes.

Mockingbird takes voice

Recovered from the Wayback Machine.

I need to get my head out of semantics and look at the real stuff that’s going down around: Aquarionics is recording my parable, Mockingbird’s Wish for me, though he’s having troubles with the sound effects. Not surprising that — this story is ‘sound intensive’.

asked if he would do it after hearing his marvelous reading of David Salo’s Cave Linguistica, and he was kind enough to give it a try,.

He’ll post the recording as soon as he’s done an edit, though the unedited version sounds like considerable fun, too.

A very cool thing to do.
